USFTL/NFL Lake County Youth Spring League Results! The
USFTL
2010 Lake County Youth Flag Football League Championship games were played on
Saturday, May 22, 2010, at
Mentor
Civic
Center
. There were 3 champions crowned in the 5/6, 7/8, 9-12 age divisions. Thank you
to all the Coaches and parents for the support to make it an outstanding spring
season!
In
the 9-12 Division, the Steelers, coached by Lionel Thornton, beat the Panthers,
coached by
Chris Latkovich
, 12-0 in the Championship game. The Steelers went 13-1 in the regular season
and had the leagues best defense, only allowing 27 points in 14 games. Members
of the Steelers are: Trey Thornton, Alec Rice, Jared Rice, Zach DiFranco,
Matthew Griswold, Kyle Hawk, Hayden Long, Jeffrey Metz, and Clayton Lundi.
In
the 7/8 Division, the Vikings, coached by Jerry Patriarca, beat the Falcons,
coached by Bob Homage, 14-6 in the Championship game. The Vikings went 13-1 in
the regular season.Members of the Vikings are: Vincenzo Patriarca, Christian DeMitro,
Jonathon Clarke, Nicky Zappitelli, Antonio Lopez, Aidan Slattery, Nathan
Slattery, John Goddard, and Danny Walsh.
In
the 5/6 Division, the Bills #2, coached by Dave Ferrino, beat the Browns,
coached by Judd Spaulding, 16-0 in the Championship game. The Bills had a
perfect 14-0 record in the regular season and were the highest scoring team in
the league with 323 points. Members of the Bills are: Joseph Ferrino, James
Dadante, Sam Link, Luke Griffith, Gabriel DeMitro, Shane Morrison, Nolan Brede,
Zach DeRespiris, Sam Putney, Joseph Evans, Anthony Evans, Benjamin Waida, Andrew
Kellner, and Joshua Canganelli.
